A full set of gels takes about an hour and a half. The goal of gel nails is to have your own natural nails underneath with a layer of gel on top. Those fake looking French maicures are outdated. The trends of today are natural looking nails. Gel nails are meant to look very natural and therefore most of the time you will not see a shadow as they grow out. You can just do a simple clear overlay on your own natural nails or you can extend them with tips or forms.
